Light demolition in Montreal, professional service priced by volume.
Opening the kitchen onto the living room in an old plex, redoing a condo bathroom, finishing a bungalow basement: before you build, something has to come out. A non-load-bearing lath-and-plaster wall, old tile, a drop ceiling, cabinets from another era. We do that demolition by hand and with power tools, carry the debris out as we go by the stairs or the back door, and leave with it. The room is stripped, swept, ready for your contractor.
What we haul away during your light demolition
- Non-load-bearing walls and partitions: drywall, wood studs, lath-and-plaster, glass block
- Full kitchens: cabinets, countertops (laminate, quartz, granite), islands, backsplashes
- Bathrooms: tub, one-piece shower, vanity, toilet, wall and floor tile
- Flooring: ceramic, tile, floating floors, glued hardwood, vinyl, underlay and adhesive
- Ceilings: suspended drop ceilings, acoustic tiles, drywall, moldings
- Basements: partitions, raised subfloors, old wood paneling, in-place insulation
- Small interior structures: decorative fireplace, bar, built-in closet, stair railing
- All the debris it produces: drywall, wood, tile, metal, rubble bags, the truck leaves full
How your light demolition works
Send us photos of the room and what needs to come down (a wall, a kitchen, a floor), with a few words on access and the floor it's on. We get back to you in under 2 hours with a firm price, based on the space the debris will take in our 10-cubic-yard truck, minimum $185, labour and disposal included. On the day, we protect the areas that stay, demolish the targeted section, load everything, and sweep before leaving. The price quoted is the price you pay at the end.
Why bring us in for your light demolition
Interior demolition gets messy fast and produces a volume the city pickup won't take: plaster, drywall, tile, nail-filled wood. We do the demo and the haul-away in the same visit, so there's no dumpster to set up on the street and no permit to apply for to put it there. We carry liability insurance, it's our own crew (Pavel, Mickael, Justin) doing the work, and we protect what stays, especially in a building where the neighbours share the staircase. The rubble is sorted: salvageable metal and wood to recycling, the rest disposed of responsibly.
The local team behind your light demolition on the island of Montreal.
When you call us for your light demolition, it's our own team that shows up, in person. Three local partners, one standard: do the job like it's our own place.
Read our story
Ramasse Vite was founded in 2025 by three partners: Pavel, Mickael and Justin. Starting out on the South Shore, they shared the belief that junk removal could be reliable, transparent and done right. Ramasse Vite Montréal is the same crew and the same way of working, all over the island.
Our mission is simple: make junk removal and waste pickup effortless for our clients. Whether it's furniture removal, construction debris hauling, a basement or garage cleanout, or a full property clearout, we handle every project with diligence, cleanliness, punctuality, and a genuine environmental urgency. Our crew knows Montreal's realities: plexes and their outdoor staircases, back lanes, tight parking and the July 1st rush.

FAQ: light demolition in Montreal
Do you only demolish, or do you haul the debris away too?
Both, in the same visit. We demolish the targeted section, then load all the drywall, wood, tile and rubble into the truck. The price includes labour and disposal, so there's no separate bin to rent. When we leave, the room is stripped and swept.
Do I need a permit for light interior demolition?
It depends on your borough or city: the rules vary from one place to the next on the island, so check before the date. We never touch a load-bearing wall, the structure, or a wall between units without confirmation, and we'll tell you if what we see in your photos needs a look from your contractor first.
Will you damage the rest of the room while demolishing?
We work by hand and with power tools, not heavy machinery, so we control where things come down. We protect the floors and surfaces that stay, and we cut cleanly at the edge of what has to go. That's the point of light demolition: removing exactly the right section without wrecking the rest.
